How to Measure for a Commission

Measuring for a Kigurumi

**All measurements need to be in inches!**
**You do NOT need to provide your body measurements when requesting a quote. I get these measurements when I make your kigu.**

I like to get a few specific measurements to custom-make your kigu to your unique body shape! It will still turn out baggy, of course, but this prevents the legs from being too short, for example.

* take the circumference of your neck

*measure your shoulder width, from the edge of one shoulder to the other

*measure the circumference of the widest part of your chest

*find the widest part of your hips and get the circumference of that

*measure the length from your wrist to the crook of your armpit

*measure the circumference of your wrists and ankles

*measure the length from the base of your neck to your ankles (you should get a friend to help, while you stand up straight!)

*measure the length from the base of your neck to where your knees are

Measuring for a Fursuit

Measuring your head

**All measurements need to be in inches!**

To accurately make the dimensions of your bucket head and line up the fursuit eyes with your own, I'll need these specific measurements:

The distance from one pupil to the other (hold a ruler above your eyes for the best accuracy!) (this is normally around 2.5 inches)

The distance from your pupil to the bottom of your chin, in a straight line down

The distance from your chin to the top of your head, vertically

the circumference of your head (measure around the forehead to the back of your head.)

**if you wear glasses and would like extra room in the head for them, take the circumference of your head WITH the glasses on. Make sure the measuring tape goes around the glasses! **

Measuring hands/arms

Paws:
The length from the tip of your middle finger to the crease of your wrist.

The circumference of your wrist.

Armsleeves:
The length of your arms from your armpit to your wrist

The width of your back, holding the tape measure from armpit to armpit

Measuring feet

Possible feet measurements I will ask for:

The length of your feet (for sockpaws)

The length of the shoes that will go in your feetpaws (for Use Your Own Shoe paws)

The circumference of the middle of your calves

Measuring body for bodysuit

I'll need a duct tape dummy (DTD) for all bodysuit commissions! For general info, refer to these two tutorials. However, when I take your bodysuit commission, I will link you a google doc with more specific / detailed instructions on how I'd like you to make your DTD for me.
